Ducati Discloses Multistrada Travel Experience Schedule

Ducati recently announced their schedule for the 2011 Multistrada Travel Experience, which will be a series of bike tours taking place all across the world for enthusiastic riders. This successful travel experience is getting ready again this year, with many exciting choices covering five separate destinations, all of which will offer unforgettable experiences of exploration.

The tour routes will take riders through countries having vibrant cultures in combination of the character of the Multistrada bikes for providing the best motorcycle holiday, you will ever witness. The introduction of the 1200 Multistrada in its many riding modes like Sport, Urban, Touring and Enduro, has enabled this innovative travel experience as an exciting way to experience motorcycle travel.

All it takes is the simple press of a button, to combine the bikes different riding modes’ derived technologies of Ducati MotoGP. These include optional mappings of engine as well as settings of traction control and electronic suspension. This makes the bikes comfortable for different terrains with their enhanced user friendliness and safety features.

Some of the few locations decided for the tour includes the Iberian Peninsula, Italy, Morocco and even as far across as Australia. The new Multistrada bike has been designed to travel across all these different terrains. The bike tour has been organized by the established and famous Edelweiss Bike Travel Co. There will be five different adventures taking place within the tour.

The 2011 model of the Ducati Mutlistrada 1200 is powered by a 2 cylinder longitudinal twin, four stroke gas engine, which is mated to manual six speed transmission. This bike uses a hydraulic disc brake for the rear and double hydraulic disc brakes for the front. The wheel base of this bike is 60.2 inches. Another noticeable feature of this Ducati Bike is its seats. The seat has been constructed in two different sections one for the passenger and the other for the driver. To ensure maximum comfort during longer journeys, the seat was designed to focus more on cushion density and form.

When stationery, the bike offers a ground contact that is sure footed, the seat is given a lateral user friendly shaping. There is also a grab handle supplied for the passenger which offers a comfortable and secure grip. The Multistrada 1200 bike is also designed to be lightweight so that it yields higher performance.
