Indian | April 4, 2011Founded in the year 1901, they were the first motorcycle manufacturers in America. In fact during the early 1900′s, they were the largest bike manufacturer in the world. By 1902, Indian Bikes had sold their first bike which featured streamlined styling and chain drives in the market. It was in 1904, that the company first decided to use the deep red color which went on to become the trademark color of the company.
The current Indian Chief model produced by the latest successor company is available in variety of different models to choose from, including the Classic model. This bike is powered by a 105ci Power Plus engine which is paired with a six speed transmission. The styling features of this bike include short fenders, chromed spoke wheels as well as black wall, traditional tires.

The front of this bike has a tear drop shaped chrome halogen headlamps. The Indian Chief also features a stainless steel, two in one, exhaust system, which has a catalytic three way converter which is installed as well as chromed shields.
The Indian Chief has a single seat which is available n tan and black leather. The fuel tank has a capacity of 5.5 gallons, while the tank design boasts of the trademark Indian script on it. This bike is also supplied with two 12 V outlets for plugging in any bike accessory of your choice.
The 2003 year model of the Indian Spirit is powered by a V twin, four stroke, and air cooled engine, which has two valves per cylinder, which is mated to a speed transmission. The fuel tank has 22 liters capacity. The ignition of these Indian Bikes is controlled either electronically or through a computer.
For safety features, the front and rear wheels have stainless steel brakes, with a rebound damping and hydraulic compression for the front suspension and hydraulic nitrogen dampers as the rear suspension. The seat height of the Indian Spirit is 711mm, with the dry weight of the bike weighing 284 kg.
The design of the Indian Spirit features the trademark red color with a black seat color and lots of chrome.
