Once you have decided to buy a bike and you are sure that you want to buy a bike which can run on hilly terrain, there are chances that you may get confused when you start looking at mountain bikes for sale.

These bikes look similar but each bike is better over the other in some or other quality. Each manufacturer makes lighter and cheaper motor cycles which are very attractive to the customers. Those who do not have the proper knowledge about these bikes may get caught in the web and end up buying an expensive bike or a bike that does not suit his needs.

You can check the ratings of the bikes before you finalize on any decision. These ratings are done on the consumers reviews on the basis on their performance, comfort level, safety etc. the reviews of the consumers who have used these bikes are of utmost importance as they have faced the comfort and problems while riding these bikes.

There are certain questions that you need to ask yourself before you buy a mountain bike or any other bike

1. Determine your budget and most important stick to your budget and don’t get carried away by latest technology and those bikes which are expensive in nature. It’s the nature rule that we tend to like the vehicles that are most expensive as they have certain features which are exclusive in nature which makes them expensive.

2. Make a decision on what type of terrain would you ride your bike? If you are going to ride cross country then a hard tail bike would suit your requirement. 5. Understand the maintenance cost of the bike as it very important to understand the recurring cost of the bike. A full Suspension bike would cost a little more than the do it your self bikes.

6. Read reviews about the different manufacturing company and figure out which company offer a longer warranty and services to the bike.
